Spotty the misfortuned

   It all started before Simba's return, in the Shadowlands. Scar had a fling with Zira, so that he could have a suitable heir for the throne.  It didn't last long since Nuka was nothing more then a flea bag, he ignored the cub and moved on. Soon he looked for another to suit his interest.  A female named Kaota caught his eye. She was loyal, smart, and was Sarabi's sister.  They had a ceremony, and little Spotty was born. She was to be Scar's heir, the only princess in the kingdom.

   Now Zira was highly jealous of this girl.  "How can he love her?", she thought. "Nuka was his first born son, I wont stand for this!". So one night while everyone was asleep, Zira called Kaota out for a special hunt.  "Just for Scar, the one who brings back the biggest kill wins his heart", she explained.  Both set out into the night.  It wasn't long before the sound of screams was heard among the lands.

   Nala called the other lionesses, who then got Scar to follow.  Spotty dashed and was the first on the scene.  "Spotty get out of--" *crack*, it was then Zira snapped Kaota's neck in her jaws.  Falling to the ground with a loud thump, Spotty was frozen in fear.  "Mother! No!", she cried.  Scar soon caught up and saw the whole thing, he held Spotty back as she tried to run towards her late mother.  Infuriated Scar tackled Zira and tore off part of her ear, "You will never be any mate of mine you Devil!". It was then he completely disowned all of Zira's children, in his eyes Spotty was his only child.

   It wasn't long before Simba came and fought Scar for the throne.  After the battle, Simba banished all of Scar's followers.  Spotty on one hand was Scar's daughter and heir to the throne, yet she was too small to be casted off like the others.  Sadly when the others were banished, Zira cub-napped Spotty and took her to the Outlands. Several times Zira beat up Spotty to the point were she was brainwashed, thinking a male with a black mane had killed her mother and not Zira.

  After a few escape attempts, Zira had slashed Spotty's face with four long gashes.  She was too scared to think, but a male in the pride protected and took care of her wounds. Outraged, Zira found out and saw Spotty of no use. The skinny and now pregnant lioness was Kicked out. The father of the cub was that one male that tried to help her, it wasn't long before Toaku was born soon after.  

  The small cub was hard to take care of on the boundary line, with Simba and Zira on her tail.  Each time she would try to hunt, Simba would somehow find her meal and it would be taken from her. From time to time, Nala would visit and give advise to Spotty about motherhood. It was then Nala came to Simba and persuaded him to have Spotty rejoin the pride.

   The only way she could was to give up her son to her mate in the Outlands.  Worrying night and day, Spotty looked to the great kings of the past for guidance. Her mate hid the fact that Toaku was Spotty's, he trained his son to be a good hunter. As the boy grew into a teenager, Zira used him in an assassin plot to kill Simba's son Kopa. She had told the others that if Spotty was seen, kill her on sight.

   The time came when Toaku was sent out to go kill Kopa, who was king at the time. Stalking through the night, the male had caught Kopa off guard and attacked. Spotty came and instantly knew it was her son. She fought Toaku and pinned him down, "Listen to me my son, you have to stop this!". Despite her efforts, nothing seemed to work. In a last ditch effort, Spotty leaped at him  and both fell off of pride rock. Both of them crashed into Scar's old den.  The small rib cage Spotty used to sleep in was pierced into her son's back.  Tears filled his eyes, it was then he saw the truth. Spotty was indeed his mother, but it was to late. Gasping for air, Toaku rested his head on his mother's arms and passed on.

   Spotty had lost it all, everything from her torment with Zira, losing both her mother, father, and lastly her son.  Tears came to her eyes as Kopa came to thank her for saving him again. She looked up to Kopa and shook her head, "I'm sorry, this is too much for me".  She ran to the top of pride rock and dove head first off of the edge, landing hard on the ground and snapped her neck. Just like her mother, how ironic.
